Summary
– Razer’s Raiju V3 Pro Signature Edition arrives November 10
– The lightweight controller features a see-through magnesium alloy shell and pro-grade controls
– Razer will make just 1,337 units, but has not announced the price
Razer has unveiled the Raiju V3 Pro Signature Edition, a limited-run controller designed for PlayStation 5. Its open-shell design reveals some of the hardware inside, while a prominent PlayStation button and Razer logo complete the look.
The controller uses a magnesium alloy exoskeleton with a nano-coating designed to protect its internals from debris. Its touchpad is made of laser-etched glass and has a semi-transparent finish. Razer says the controller weighs 260 grams, making it lighter than a standard DualSense.
For competitive play, the Raiju V3 Pro Signature Edition includes contactless TMR thumbsticks and six mappable buttons. Those include two claw-grip bumpers and four rear buttons with mouse-style clicks. The buttons are made from PBT, a durable plastic used in some higher-end gaming peripherals.
The controller can also connect to other devices, including PCs. Razer advertises a wireless polling rate of up to 2,000Hz on PC, allowing the controller to report input more frequently.
The collector’s edition package includes a leatherette carrying case, alternate thumbstick caps, rear-button covers, a wireless dongle, and tools for replacing parts.
The Raiju V3 Pro Signature Edition goes on sale November 10. Razer plans to produce only 1,337 units, a number associated with the old internet slang “leet.” The company has not announced pricing.
