The champion then changed his tone by mocking Rook’s appearance and asking whether he missed his mother. Waller also claimed he could “roast Mason Rook like a pig at a luau.”
Despite the insults, Waller admitted that nobody else moves quite like Rook. He also mentioned John Cena’s support for Rook and warned Cena not to place his trust in the wrong person.
Waller later said seeing Rook made him sad because he believed the challenger had become complacent. He added that wrestlers like Rook were part of the reason he returned to NXT.
