Rey Mysterio has indefinitely suspended Omos from AAA following a chaotic confrontation during the August 22 episode of Lucha Libre AAA on FOX.
The situation developed after Omos faced Galeno in a singles competition. The match ended without a decisive result, but Omos continued attacking Galeno afterward and eventually put him through the commentary desk.
Omos then appeared ready to use the ring steps against Galeno while he remained down near the damaged desk. AAA General Manager Rey Mysterio came out to stop the attack, putting himself directly between Omos and Galeno.
The confrontation quickly became physical when Omos lifted Mysterio off the ground for a chokeslam. Dorian Roldán tried to discourage Omos from attacking Rey, while AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio encouraged Omos to follow through.
Omos eventually put Rey down, prompting the General Manager to announce that Omos was suspended from AAA indefinitely. The punishment did little to calm the situation, as Omos responded by striking Mysterio and sending him out of the ring.
Rey then took his punishment even further verbally, declaring that he never wanted to see Omos in AAA again. The statement left Omos’ future in the promotion uncertain after one of the show’s most explosive confrontations.
