She returned later that day for the tournament’s second show and competed against JGU.
The appearances ended a lengthy absence caused by a serious knee injury.
Serrano required surgery to repair her ACL, MCL, and meniscus after suffering the injury during her WWE run.
Her recovery kept her out of competition for well over a year and created questions about how she would perform upon returning.
Serrano showed the same intensity and physical style that helped her stand out before the injury.
She moved confidently and displayed few visible signs of the long rehabilitation process.
