Report explains why WWE’s full Monday Night Raw archive hasn’t arrived yet
Summary
– WrestleVotes says WWE’s Netflix deal is designed for a gradual archive rollout
– The full Raw library is expected to be added over the course of the long-term agreement
– Another theory suggests WWE is protecting the value of its content library by releasing episodes slowly
WWE fans continue asking the same question months after Raw made its move to Netflix: Where are all the classic episodes?
Although WWE’s partnership with Netflix officially began in January 2025, only a portion of Monday Night Raw’s massive archive is currently available on the streaming service.
According to WrestleVotes, the answer comes down to the length of the agreement between WWE and Netflix.
During a recent Q&A session, JoeyVotes explained that the archive is expected to grow gradually rather than arrive all at once.
“The reason I heard is this Monday Night Raw contract goes for years, so they will continue to add episodes at their pace and leisure. That’s just what it is, as far as I know.”
If that’s accurate, fans shouldn’t expect every episode from Raw’s three-decade history to suddenly appear on Netflix anytime soon.
Another theory centers on business strategy.
TC suggested that WWE has little incentive to release its entire library immediately because its video archive remains one of its most valuable assets.
“I think they’re gonna leverage it to try to get more money from Netflix. So it’s like, ‘Hey, we know you guys want it, and if you want to continue to pay the subscription every month, we’re gonna give a little bit here and there.’”
He also believes WWE’s approach is to maximize the long-term value of its intellectual property rather than exhaust its content library upfront.
“So it all comes down to money, and WWE does a good job of protecting their library and IP to get the most amount of money from the consumer—or business partners, in this case, Netflix—as they can.”
Neither WWE nor Netflix has officially outlined a schedule for when additional Raw episodes will be added.
For now, the expectation is that more content will continue to arrive over time rather than in a single massive archive release.
That means longtime fans looking to revisit the Attitude Era, Ruthless Aggression Era, or other classic periods may have to wait as the collection slowly expands throughout WWE’s partnership with Netflix.
