Women’s World Champion shows the aftermath of Liv Morgan’s championship shot
Summary
– IYO SKY shared a photo revealing a large bruise on her forehead after Raw
– The injury came after Liv Morgan struck her with the Women’s World Championship
– SKY is still expected to defend her title against Morgan at SummerSlam
IYO SKY is showing fans exactly what Liv Morgan left behind after Monday Night Raw.
Following the July 13 edition of Raw in Dallas, the Women’s World Champion shared a close-up photo on her Instagram Story revealing a noticeable bruise across her forehead.
SKY kept her reaction short, posting the image with a simple caption.
“Seriously?”
The injury happened after SKY defeated Roxanne Perez earlier in the night. Once the match ended, Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez launched a post-match assault, continuing to target the champion ahead of SummerSlam.
Morgan eventually grabbed the Women’s World Championship and struck SKY with the title belt.
While the attack unfolded as part of the storyline, replay footage suggests the belt connected more directly than intended. Instead of glancing off SKY’s head, the championship appeared to hit her flush, leaving behind the visible swelling she later shared online.
Despite the painful-looking bruise, there is currently no indication that SKY suffered a concussion or any other significant injury.
As of now, WWE’s plans remain unchanged. SKY is still expected to defend the Women’s World Championship against Liv Morgan at SummerSlam.
The photo adds another layer to the growing rivalry between the two stars. Morgan wanted to leave a lasting message before their championship showdown, and judging by SKY’s forehead, she certainly accomplished that.
Now the focus shifts to SummerSlam, where the Women’s World Championship will be on the line, and both competitors will be looking to settle the score inside the ring.
