The Prior Lake native said having one of WWE’s biggest events in her home state feels special, especially because many members of her extended family will be able to watch her compete live.
Stratton admitted there is pressure attached to performing in front of a hometown crowd, but she also enjoys that feeling. She believes having family members in attendance will make the experience better, not more stressful.
The WWE star also encouraged people who do not regularly watch wrestling to attend a live event. Stratton said the atmosphere, crowd reactions, and unpredictability of live television often turn newcomers into fans.
Stratton reflected on how much her career has changed since moving from NXT to the main roster. She said her focus is on controlling the things she can, including her wrestling, promos, character work, and making every second of television count.
She explained that WWE’s creative process can be collaborative, with talent allowed to pitch ideas, though not every suggestion is approved. As she has gained more experience and credibility, Stratton said more of her ideas have started making it to television.
The former champion also compared NXT’s heavily structured environment with the freedom she experiences on Raw and SmackDown. She said main roster wrestlers have more control over the moves they use and the stories they tell inside the ring.
That freedom creates a sink-or-swim situation, but Stratton said she likes being responsible for her own destiny.
Stratton also discussed wrestling fans and online criticism. She described wrestling as an opinion-based form of entertainment and said she tries to consider both positive and negative feedback.
She acknowledged that fans sometimes make valid points about what is or is not working. However, she also knows that spending all day reading criticism can become unhealthy.
One of Stratton’s biggest career breakthroughs came during Elimination Chamber in Australia. She said hearing the crowd chant “Tiffy Time” motivated her to deliver and helped her popularity carry into other countries.
Stratton also revealed that her original character was inspired by Sharpay Evans, Paris Hilton, and a Barbie-style presentation. She pitched the Daddy’s Little Rich Girl character during her time in NXT and may consider bringing parts of it back.
Hollywood remains a possible future option, but Stratton said wrestling is still her main focus. Her goal is to develop her character and in-ring ability until she is considered one of the best female wrestlers in the world.
She also admitted that she naturally prefers working as a heel. Stratton learned wrestling as a villain and said being a heel feels more fun and comes with less pressure.
