Summary

– Lollipop Chainsaw 2 Back2Back is coming to PS5 in 2027

– Juliet Starling returns with new moves and an updated appearance

– PS5 is the only platform currently confirmed for the sequel

Lollipop Chainsaw 2 Back2Back has officially been announced for PlayStation 5, with the full sequel scheduled to arrive in 2027.

Dragami Games and Nada Holdings are publishing the project, while JP Universe is handling development. The announcement was accompanied by approximately eight minutes of gameplay during Tokyo Game Show 2026.

Juliet Starling returns as the main character with a new outfit, additional moves, and her familiar chainsaw-based fighting style. The footage showed Juliet cutting through large groups of zombies across several expanded environments.

The new story takes place in Jaredwood, a town built around the movie industry. Juliet becomes trapped inside a dangerous production controlled by a villainous director as another zombie outbreak spreads through the area.

Lollipop Chainsaw 2 Back2Back is a completely new game rather than another remake or remaster. It follows the original 2012 Lollipop Chainsaw and the 2024 Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP remaster.

A playable PS5 demonstration is available to Tokyo Game Show attendees from September 17 through September 21. The demonstration gives players an early look at the sequel’s combat and updated presentation.

PS5 is currently the only confirmed platform. Some reports have described the game as a PlayStation exclusive, but the publishers have not clearly stated that versions for other platforms are ruled out.

An exact release date has not been announced beyond the planned 2027 window. More information about the story, gameplay systems, and supporting characters is expected closer to launch.
