Motherhood’s comeback is uncertain
Summary
– Carmella has not ruled out returning to WWE
– She misses performing but is focused on raising two young children
– A full-time comeback does not appear likely soon
Carmella is not closing the door on a WWE return, but she remains unsure whether now is the right time to resume her wrestling career.
Speaking with Laura Clery on IDIOT, the former WWE Women’s Champion said she has been craving a new creative challenge since giving birth to her second son.
Carmella experienced similar feelings after welcoming her first child. She hoped to return to WWE at that time, but the opportunity never came together.
She later launched the Hot Mom Shit podcast to give herself a creative outlet. However, Carmella admitted that the podcast has not provided the same fulfillment as performing in front of a live crowd.
Carmella said she feels divided between her professional ambitions and her responsibilities as a mother. She loves spending time at home with her children, but she also wonders what to pursue next in her career.
The former champion explained that she would regret traveling extensively while her children are still young. That concern has made her hesitant to consider another WWE run right now.
Carmella stressed that she is not saying she will never return. However, she does not know whether a comeback would happen soon or involve working full-time.
For now, Carmella is prioritizing her family while trying to determine what role wrestling should have in her future. The desire to perform remains, but she is not ready to spend long periods away from her children.
