Roman Reigns and LA Knight will open WWE Money in the Bank with their World Heavyweight Championship match. WWE confirmed the opening slot during the October 9 episode of SmackDown, one night before the event.
The announcement puts Reigns’ title defense first on a card featuring five confirmed matches. Knight will have his opportunity to take the championship before either Money in the Bank ladder match gets underway.
Stephanie Vaquer will also defend her Women’s World Championship against Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan in a Triple Threat Match.
The men’s ladder match features CM Punk, Kevin Owens, Trick Williams, Penta, Je’Von Evans, and Bron Breakker. All six will compete for a contract granting a future championship opportunity.
Jacy Jayne, Tiffany Stratton, Lash Legend, Roxanne Perez, Sol Ruca, and Lola Vice make up the women’s ladder match. Oba Femi will face Bronson Reed in the other announced singles contest.
WWE has confirmed the opener, but the announcement did not establish the order of the remaining four matches.
Money in the Bank takes place Saturday, October 10, with the main show beginning at 6 PM ET. Reigns and Knight will launch the event with the World Heavyweight Championship on the line.
