Morgan continues treatment as swelling slowly improves
Summary
– Liv Morgan still has some swelling more than four months after her collision with Roxanne Perez
– Raquel Rodriguez says Morgan has been receiving treatment to reduce the lingering bump
– Rodriguez hopes Morgan will not eventually need surgery for the injury
Liv Morgan is still receiving treatment for the forehead injury she suffered during a collision with Roxanne Perez on WWE Raw, with Raquel Rodriguez revealing that some swelling remains more than four months later.
Speaking on the Girl Meets Pod podcast, Rodriguez recalled initially laughing when she saw the large bump on Morgan’s forehead because Morgan was standing and appeared to be okay. Rodriguez also viewed it as playful payback after Morgan previously laughed when she developed a similar bump following an incident involving Nikki Bella.
The situation became more concerning when Morgan’s swelling did not completely resolve. Rodriguez admitted that she eventually realized the injury was more serious than it initially seemed, especially as Morgan continued dealing with the bump months after the collision.
Morgan suffered the injury during the April 6 episode of Raw when Stephanie Vaquer attacked her during an in-ring segment. Morgan was shoved into Perez, causing the two women to collide head-first, and both were subsequently reported to have entered concussion protocol.
Rodriguez said Morgan’s forehead still has a small amount of swelling, although treatment has helped reduce it. She believes Morgan has undergone lymphatic work or cupping and said a lidocaine injection has also been discussed, although Rodriguez was not completely certain about every part of the treatment.
The possibility of surgery also came up during the conversation, with Rodriguez making it clear that she hopes Morgan will not need to go that far. She pointed out that the injury has been lingering since April and expressed hope that the remaining swelling will continue decreasing on its own with treatment.
Morgan was able to joke about the bump shortly after the original incident, but the fact that she is still treating it months later shows how lasting the effects of the collision have been. Rodriguez remains optimistic about the progress while hoping the injury continues improving without requiring surgery.
