The WWE Women’s Champion has protective gear prepared and says she will compete if necessary
Summary
– Chelsea Green says a broken orbital bone will not keep her from defending her championship
– Green had a protective face mask made in case things turn physical
– She also prepared matching eye patches to coordinate with her outfits
Chelsea Green has no intention of letting a broken orbital bone derail her WWE Women’s Championship reign, and she has already prepared protective gear in case she needs to get physical.
Speaking with eTalk, Green discussed the unpredictability of live WWE television and said anything can happen once SmackDown goes on the air. With the show taking place in Toronto, she noted that WWE often brings back legends and delivers surprises in Canada, which has left her prepared for anything that might come her way.
Green revealed that she already has a protective face mask designed to shield her injured orbital bone. She made it clear that if anyone comes after her championship, she is prepared to defend herself despite the injury.
The champion also added her own personality to the medical equipment. Green said she bedazzled the case that holds the protective mask and has matching eye patches ready, depending on what she decides to wear.
Green then reflected on the injuries she has endured during her 13-year wrestling career, including heart surgery and broken bones involving her ankle, collarbone, nose, cheekbone, orbital bone, and arms. She said those experiences have only strengthened her determination to continue competing.
At this stage of her career, Green believes she has waited too long for her current opportunity to allow another injury to stop her. She said she would even wrestle with the broken orbital bone if necessary, emphasizing that she is ready to do whatever it takes to remain active.
Green’s determination was already evident on SmackDown when she became physically involved despite not being medically cleared. With protective equipment ready and no interest in stepping aside, the Women’s WWE Champion is preparing to keep fighting through the injury rather than watch her title reign from the sidelines.
