The former champion backs Wren Sinclair ahead of Halloween Havoc

Summary

– Kendal Grey announced she is cleared to wrestle on the October 13 episode of NXT

– Grey had been sidelined following an ear injury and ongoing balance problems

– She supported Wren Sinclair’s pursuit of Kelani Jordan’s NXT Women’s Championship

Kendal Grey can compete again. The former NXT Women’s Champion announced her clearance during a backstage appearance on the October 13 episode of NXT on The CW.

Grey joined Wren Sinclair after Sinclair exchanged words with Myles Borne about his decision to turn on Tavion Heights. Grey shared her update and made clear that she was behind Sinclair as Halloween Havoc approaches.

Sinclair is set to challenge Kelani Jordan for the NXT Women’s Championship at the event. Grey’s return to the mix gives her friend another reason to celebrate as she prepares for that opportunity.

Grey’s absence followed an injury to her right ear during an NXT Underground match against Lola Vice. WWE subsequently presented updates on her recovery, including therapy segments while she remained unable to compete.

Her problems continued through Heatwave, where Jordan defeated her for the championship. On the September 1 broadcast, commentator Vic Joseph said Grey was dealing with vertigo and would be out for the foreseeable future.

The latest announcement ends that wait for clearance. Tuesday’s segment focused on Grey’s recovery and support for Sinclair, without announcing an opponent for her return match.
