The victory continues Sawyer’s strong return to the independent wrestling scene.
He recently won his first match following his WWE departure at Wrestling REVOLVER.
Sawyer then made a surprise appearance at GCW Rude, where he attacked GCW Champion Atticus Cogar with Sister Abigail and raised the championship above his head.
He later confirmed that he will return for GCW Homecoming, making his interest in Cogar’s title clear.
Less than two weeks into his independent wrestling return, Sawyer has already secured a victory, targeted another promotion’s champion, and captured the Xcite Wrestling Heavyweight Championship.
