Vegas fans used a Cameo message during Stanley Cup Final
Summary
– Danhausen cursed the Carolina Hurricanes before they lost Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final
– The curse video was shown inside T-Mobile Arena during the Vegas Golden Knights matchup
– Danhausen later joked that the Hurricanes could pay him to remove the curse
Danhausen may have added another strange chapter to his growing history of sports curses.
The WWE star appeared on the big screen at T-Mobile Arena on Saturday night during Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final between the Carolina Hurricanes and the Vegas Golden Knights.
The clip showed Danhausen placing a curse on the Hurricanes. Carolina later lost the game in overtime, 5-4, giving Vegas a 2-1 lead in the series.
The video also went viral online before the game started. It appears a Golden Knights fan paid for a Cameo from Danhausen, which was then played inside the arena.
Danhausen kept his usual oddball style in the message. He joked about not fully understanding the Stanley Cup Final, even seeming to think the Stanley Cup might be a beverage, before officially cursing Carolina and saying “Go Knights Go.”
The moment quickly became part of the Game 3 conversation, especially after the Hurricanes lost dramatically.
Danhausen continued the bit on Sunday morning by responding to a Hurricanes post on X. He asked the team to pay him “human money” to remove the curse and included a link to his Cameo page.
The curse may be part comedy and part wrestling character work, but Vegas fans will likely take the result. With the Golden Knights now ahead in the series, Danhausen’s strange warning worked out at the perfect time.
