Game Changer Wrestling announced that Avery Styles will debut for the promotion on July 31 in Omaha, Nebraska. He is also booked for GCW’s August 1 event in Minneapolis.
No opponents have been announced yet for either appearance, but the bookings give Avery a quick opportunity to perform in front of a new audience.
Avery recently made his pro wrestling debut against Ashton Martin at SCA Wrestling’s Freedom Fling event in Royston, Georgia. The match took place at the Royston Dome and served as his first official step into the ring.
AJ Styles later reacted to the match on his Phenomenally Retro podcast, offering strong praise for both young wrestlers.
AJ said Avery and Ashton did not disappoint and noted that they handled the match with surprising patience for young performers. He said they did not rush through key moments and used their energy effectively.
The WWE and TNA Hall of Famer also pointed to one specific spot from the match and said Avery’s version was better than his own.
