Former NXT GM says her exit came from wanting something new
Summary
– Ava said there was no single major reason behind her WWE exit
– The former NXT GM said leaving was something she had been thinking about for a while
– Ava said she is grateful for her WWE run and does not regret moving on
Ava is not pointing to one major incident as the reason she left WWE.
During her appearance on The Downside with Gianmarco Soresi, the former NXT General Manager spoke about her decision to move on after nearly six years with the company. Ava had been featured on NXT television as the on-screen GM while still training behind the scenes.
Before discussing her exit, Ava explained that she continued training even though her television role was not centered around in-ring matches. She also joked about a past backstage brawl where a door hit her.
When asked why she decided to leave WWE, Ava said there was no single moment that led to her decision. Instead, she described it as something that had been on her mind for a while.
“Oh man, it was… there wasn’t one particular thing unfortunately. It was like a lot of things and had been something that was on my mind for a while.”
Ava also made it clear that she remains thankful for her time in WWE. She said the experience allowed her to live out a dream she had long wanted.
“And like I am so grateful for my time at WWE. I wouldn’t change it for the world. I did. I got to live out the dream that me always wanted to.”
Even with that appreciation, Ava said she reached a point where she needed a fresh start. She added that she does not regret leaving and is happy with where she is now.
“But I think it was just, it was time for something new. It was time for something different. And I really… I don’t regret leaving and I’m really happy now.”
Ava’s answer was not built around drama or backstage blame. She framed the move as a personal choice after a long run in the WWE system.
Her time in NXT came with attention because of her family background, but she still created her own chapter as the brand’s on-screen General Manager. For now, Ava says that the chapter is closed and she is comfortable with the decision.
