Summary

– Jay Duplass also cast in a recurring role alongside young ensemble
– Series centers on adopted twins and a mysterious inherited island
Jeffrey Dean Morgan is adding another high-profile role to his packed schedule with a new stop at Amazon Prime Video. The veteran actor has signed on for a recurring role in the upcoming young adult drama, Sterling Point.
Morgan will appear as Joe on the series, which was first announced earlier this year. He joins a growing cast that includes Ella Rubin, Amélie Elisabeth Hoeferle, Daniel Quinn-Toye, Jacob Whiteduck-Lavoie, Bo Bragason, Keen Ruffalo, and fellow newcomer Jay Duplass, who will portray Steven.
Sterling Point follows adopted twins who travel to a remote island on a lake after discovering it was left to them by their estranged grandfather. Story specifics remain tightly guarded, but the setting and premise point toward a character-driven mystery with emotional weight.
Morgan remains visible across major platforms. He currently plays Negan on The Walking Dead Dead City and also appears on Prime Video’s The Boys, which is preparing for its final season. His extensive résumé includes major television and film roles that have maintained his star power.
Duplass brings strong creative credibility of his own, with recent appearances in Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Industry, and Dying for Sex. He is also widely recognized for his work as a writer and director, alongside his brother Mark, which has contributed to several acclaimed series and films.
The project is created by Megan Park, who will direct and executive produce, sharing showrunning duties with Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage. Production is handled by Amazon MGM Studios, with LuckyChap also on board as an executive producer.
