The original series joins AMC+’s franchise collection on January 7, 2027
Summary
– All seasons of The Walking Dead begin streaming on AMC+ January 7, 2027
– The franchise collection includes six spin-offs and 371 episodes across the series
– Daryl Dixon’s fourth and final season follows in February
AMC+ is bringing the complete original run of The Walking Dead to its streaming lineup on January 7, 2027. Scott M. Gimple announced the date during the Daryl Dixon panel at New York Comic Con.
The addition places the flagship alongside the franchise’s six spin-offs: Fear the Walking Dead, Daryl Dixon, Dead City, The Ones Who Live, World Beyond and Tales of the Walking Dead.
AMC describes the expanded collection as encompassing 371 episodes, along with specials, behind-the-scenes material and Comic-Con panel coverage.
The original series’ arrival also precedes Daryl Dixon’s fourth and final season, which premieres in February 2027.
The streaming expansion follows AMC’s licensing agreement with Netflix, announced in July. That arrangement gives both companies co-exclusive rights to the original series and its spin-offs.
AMC said licenses begin at different times across individual series and territories as existing agreements expire. The January announcement therefore should not be treated as a universal Netflix rollout date.
The place where it all began. Every Series. Every Episode. Every Exclusive.
Starting January 7, 2027, AMC+ becomes the ultimate streaming destination for the entire #TheWalkingDead Universe, including all seasons of the original #TWD series. https://t.co/NyZsNAfHNn
