NXT Gold Rush continued with a major announcement from John Cena as part of his Last Time Is Now retirement tour. Cena appeared on the show to reveal the full lineup for both Iron Survivor Challenge matches at NXT Deadline on December 6 in San Antonio.

Cena confirmed that the men’s match will feature Je’Von Evans, TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater, Joe Hendry, Dion Lennox of DarkState, and Myles Borne. Borne secured the final spot after defeating Trick Williams in the main event.

Cena later announced the women’s field as Sol Ruca, Lola Vice, Kelani Jordan, Jordynne Grace, and Evolve Women’s Champion Kendal Grey. Both winners will earn future championship opportunities.

The Iron Survivor Challenge runs twenty-five minutes with staggered entries and a point-based system. Falls score points, while a loss sends a competitor to a ninety-second penalty box. The superstar with the highest point total becomes the top contender.

Cena’s retirement tour continues to influence multiple brands. He remains the Intercontinental Champion, adding further intrigue to his final slate of appearances.
