Election coverage shifts NXT’s broadcast to November 4
Summary
– NXT is listed for Wednesday, November 4 instead of Tuesday
– The CW will carry midterm election coverage on November 3
– The change puts NXT opposite AEW’s Blood & Guts special
WWE NXT is moving to Wednesday, November 4, setting up another direct television clash with AEW Dynamite. The scheduling change puts WWE’s developmental brand opposite AEW’s annual Blood & Guts special.
Upcoming listings place NXT on Wednesday rather than its regular Tuesday slot on The CW. The adjustment is due to the network airing coverage of the United States midterm elections on Tuesday, November 3.
AEW has already scheduled Blood & Guts for November 4 at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida. That means NXT’s shifted broadcast will compete with a special edition of Dynamite built around the two-ring steel cage match.
The announced men’s match features Will Ospreay, Adam Copeland, Steven Borden, The Young Bucks and Darby Allin against the Don Callis Family’s Kazuchika Okada, Kyle Fletcher, Wardlow, Kevin Knight, Mark Davis and Jake Doyle.
The schedule change creates another Wednesday meeting between programs that once competed weekly. NXT and Dynamite shared the night regularly before NXT moved to Tuesdays in 2021.
They have also overlapped on Wednesdays since that move. NXT’s November 2024 episode from Philadelphia’s 2300 Arena aired opposite Dynamite after election coverage prompted a similar adjustment.
More recent clashes have occurred on Tuesdays when baseball coverage pushed Dynamite away from its usual night.
This time, NXT is the show changing nights. Fans who normally follow both programs will have competing broadcasts to choose between as AEW presents one of its signature annual television events.
