Ilja Dragunov has officially arrived in AEW, making his debut at WrestleDream after the promotion spent the week teasing a new addition.

Dragunov emerged in a suit amid red entrance lighting, bringing the musical presentation from those teasers into the arena. AEW confirmed his arrival through its official account as the appearance unfolded.

The buildup had centered on a mysterious conductor, a metronome and training footage. An initial teaser aired during the combined Dynamite and Collision broadcast, with a follow-up pointing directly to WrestleDream.

That presentation had prompted widespread expectations that Dragunov was the man being introduced. His appearance at the pay-per-view ended the speculation about the identity behind the clips.

Dragunov joins AEW after his WWE contract expired. His run there included reigns as NXT UK Champion, NXT Champion and United States Champion, giving him an established record across several divisions.

The debut marks the start of his AEW run, with the focus now shifting from the arrival itself to his first match and rivalry in the promotion.
