The AEW powerhouse wants strong performances to lead to bigger opportunities.
Summary
– Brian Cage questioned his absence from the WrestleDream card in a video message
– He thanked supporters but said he wants an opportunity to prove himself on pay-per-view
– Konosuke Takeshita defeated Cage in a Clockwork Carnage qualifying match
Brian Cage has made his frustration over missing WrestleDream clear, arguing that his recent work should earn him a larger role in AEW.
Speaking in a video shared online, Cage pointed to his matches and promos as evidence that he can deliver when given time. He welcomed the support he has received from fans, but said praise alone does not give him the opportunity he is seeking.
His message centered on a straightforward request: a chance to turn those performances into a place on a major card. Cage questioned why he was missing WrestleDream and said he had not wrestled on an AEW pay-per-view this year.
There is an on-screen reason he did not advance to one of the event’s featured matches. Konosuke Takeshita defeated Cage by submission in a qualifying bout for Clockwork Carnage, securing his own place in the WrestleDream match.
Cage’s video went beyond that result, however. He argued that he has more to offer and wants the chance to demonstrate it, rather than continue hearing that he has performed well without receiving a bigger opportunity.
He also thanked the fans getting behind him and expressed confidence in what he could deliver next. The message focused on earning a chance to compete, without announcing a change to the WrestleDream lineup.
Don’t cut me off, don’t count me down, I ain’t done talking here. https://t.co/e36X6Mc6XH
