Will Ospreay faces a crowded path to retaining the AEW World Championship at WrestleDream, where the first Clockwork Carnage match headlines the pay-per-view from Addition Financial Arena in Orlando, Florida.
The main show begins Saturday, October 17, at 8 p.m. ET and 5 p.m. PT. Fans in the United States can order it through HBO Max pay-per-view and other participating providers. International viewing options include MyAEW, with availability depending on the territory.
Tailgate Brawl airs at 7 p.m. ET and 4 p.m. PT on TNT and HBO Max. That hour includes Motor City Machine Guns against FTR in the opening match of their best-of-five series, plus Divine Dominion against Sisters of Sin.
Ospreay’s challengers are Samoa Joe, Mike Bailey, Adam Copeland, Konosuke Takeshita, Kazuchika Okada, Ricochet and Darby Allin. Clockwork Carnage begins with two randomly selected wrestlers, with another entering every three minutes. A pinfall or submission eliminates a competitor until the final entrant arrives.
The survivors then compete through a 15-minute scoring period. Each pinfall or submission earns a fall, and the wrestler with the highest total at the time limit leaves as champion. Ospreay therefore faces the possibility of losing his championship without taking the deciding fall himself.
Mercedes Moné defends the AEW Women’s World Championship against Thekla. The Young Bucks put the World Tag Team Championship on the line against Kyle Fletcher and Kevin Knight.
Swerve Strickland, Kofi and Austin Creed defend the World Trios Championship against Hangman Adam Page, Bandido and Brody King in a two-out-of-three falls match. Jon Moxley faces Mark Davis for the Continental Championship, while Andrade El Ídolo defends the National Championship against Tommaso Ciampa.
Persephone meets Dani Luna, Hyan and Queen Aminata in a four-way TBS Championship defense. Chris Jericho and Nick Wayne complete the main card with their third singles meeting.
The previously advertised women’s tag title match involving Jamie Hayter, Alex Windsor, Kris Statlander and Harley Cameron has been removed following Hayter’s injury. The updated lineup has eight main-card matches, including seven championship bouts.
