Chelsea Green is expanding her career beyond WWE after landing a role in the upcoming comedy adventure We Could Be Heroes.
Green joins an ensemble cast featuring Ron Perlman, Peter Facinelli, Mark Elias, Serena Wang, Humberly Gonzalez, Damian Romeo, Sean Benson, Pat Roach, and Jason Mewes.
The movie follows an aspiring detective who becomes involved in a real mystery after a young gamer asks for help recovering her stolen gaming equipment. The seemingly simple case soon develops into a much larger adventure.
Director Paul Emami described the film as a story about ordinary people discovering what they can accomplish when placed in extraordinary circumstances. Comedy drives the movie, but friendship, courage, and personal growth are also central to the story.
Elias stars as Miles Bernstein and wrote the screenplay. He said the production aims to deliver an accessible and entertaining adventure while drawing inspiration from modern gaming culture.
Emami and Elias are producing alongside Hank White, Ivan Williams, Mauricio Arrioja, and Natalie Dale. The project was filmed in Ontario under Golden Boy, LLC.
Green has previously discussed her interest in pursuing acting opportunities outside professional wrestling. We Could Be Heroes gives her another chance to build that side of her career while working with several established Hollywood performers.
