Summary

– Invited players will access the experience through the Rockstar Games Launcher
– Twitch Drops include GTA$1.5 million and the Burger Shot Tracksuit
Rockstar Games is throwing its support behind the next major evolution of GTA V roleplay with the official announcement of nopixel V.
The closed beta will begin September 8, giving invited players access through the Rockstar Games Launcher. Fans will also be able to watch participating creators begin their new stories across livestreaming platforms when the experience goes live.
nopixel has become one of the most recognizable communities within GTA roleplay, building elaborate characters, stories, and custom versions of Los Santos over several major releases.
nopixel V is designed as another major overhaul of that experience. A reworked character customization system will give players more options when creating their roleplay identities, while several areas of the GTA V map have been redesigned or expanded.
Among the additions are the new Pixel Hotel & Casino and a six-block redevelopment of Cypress Flats.
The experience will also feature refreshed visuals, additional ways for characters to earn money on both sides of the law, and smarter pedestrians that react more dynamically to what is happening around them.
GTA roleplay allows players to create original characters and live within a community-run version of Los Santos. Players can pursue regular jobs, build criminal operations, serve within player-controlled law enforcement, or develop entirely different stories through interactions with other members of the server.
Several familiar nopixel characters are expected to return for the new era, while new personalities will also begin their own storylines once the closed beta launches.
Rockstar is also tying the launch to GTA Online through a new Twitch Drops promotion running from September 8 through September 30.
Viewers who watch eligible nopixel V streams on Twitch will be able to earn up to GTA$1.5 million and the Burger Shot Tracksuit for use in GTA Online.
Additional nopixel V updates are already planned, including a new in-game PC overlay, future events, and expanded access beyond the initial invited group.
The closed beta marks another step in Rockstar’s growing support for the GTA roleplay community as nopixel prepares to launch its latest version of Los Santos on September 8.
