Rockstar’s extended look arrives six hours before YouTube

Rockstar Games is preparing to show an extended look at Grand Theft Auto VI gameplay, with Netflix getting the footage first on Thursday, August 27.
Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look will premiere exclusively on Netflix before becoming available elsewhere six hours later. Viewers in New York can watch the presentation beginning at 3:00 p.m. EDT, while Los Angeles viewers can tune in at 12:00 p.m. PDT.
Once Netflix’s six-hour exclusivity window ends, the presentation will become available through YouTube and other platforms. That puts the YouTube release at 9:00 p.m. EDT and 6:00 p.m. PDT on August 27.
European viewers will get the Netflix premiere at 8:00 p.m. BST in London and 9:00 p.m. CEST in Paris. The latter YouTube release arrives at 2:00 a.m. BST and 3:00 a.m. CEST on August 28.
Players across parts of Asia and Australia will see the presentation during the early hours of August 28. Tokyo and Seoul receive the Netflix release at 4:00 a.m., followed by YouTube at 10:00 a.m., while Sydney gets the presentation at 5:00 a.m. on Netflix and 11:00 a.m. on YouTube.
The extended presentation arrives after months of increased promotion surrounding GTA VI. Rockstar revealed the game’s cover artwork in June and later released a large collection of new screenshots, although fans continued waiting for another substantial look at actual gameplay.
More than 500 days have passed since Trailer 2 arrived in May 2025. Rather than releasing a traditional third trailer alongside preorders, Rockstar is now preparing a longer presentation that should provide a much closer look at Jason, Lucia, and the game’s open world.
The release also follows several reported GTA VI leaks that circulated online during the past week. Rockstar’s official presentation will give players their first authorized extended look at the game ahead of its scheduled November 19, 2026, launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
