WWE NXT ratings report shows viewership dip and an increase in the 18-49 demo against the Stanley Cup Finals

WWE NXT Viewership Dips As Demo Rises

This week’s episode holds steady despite Stanley Cup Finals competition

Summary

– WWE NXT averaged 548,000 viewers this week on The CW, down 1.4% from last week

– The 18-49 demo rose to a 0.09 rating, up 28.6% from the previous episode

– NXT aired against game two of the Stanley Cup Finals, which led television for the night

WWE NXT saw a slight drop in overall viewership this week, but the show posted a strong gain in the key demographic.

The June 9 episode averaged 548,000 viewers on The CW. That was down just 1.4% from the previous week and marked the show’s second-highest total audience since May 5.

The 18-49 rating told a more positive story. NXT averaged a 0.09 in the demo, which was up 28.6% from last week.

That number also tied the third-highest 18-49 rating NXT has posted since February 10. The increase was notable because the show faced major competition from sports.

NXT went head-to-head with game two of the NHL Stanley Cup Finals on ABC. The hockey game led all television with a 1.44 rating in the 18-49 demo and 5.4 million viewers.

Among English network programming, NXT finished last in total viewers. However, the show avoided last place in the 18-49 demo by beating one program on Fox.

Compared to the same week in 2025, NXT was down 24.5% in total viewers. The 18-49 rating was also down 40% from that same week last year.

Against its recent 10-week average, this week’s episode was down 3% in total viewers. The 18-49 rating was up 12.5% compared to that same average.

The mixed result shows NXT holding steady in viewership while getting a useful boost with younger viewers. Considering the Stanley Cup Finals competition, the demo increase was the stronger part of the week’s ratings report.
