WWE announced that Blaisdell Arena in Honolulu will host a live event on Friday, October 16, as part of its 2026 Live Event Tour.
The show will mark WWE’s first event in Hawaii since September 22, 2019, ending a seven-year absence from the state.
Several prominent WWE stars are already advertised for the event.
Seth Rollins, The Usos, Jacob Fatu, Oba Femi, and Liv Morgan are currently scheduled to appear, with additional names expected to be announced as the event approaches. As with every live event, the advertised lineup remains subject to change.
The announced roster gives the Honolulu audience a combination of established champions, members of one of wrestling’s most famous families, and some of WWE’s most prominent current performers.
The event could hold particular significance for The Usos and Jacob Fatu because of their Samoan heritage and strong family connections throughout the Pacific.
Tickets will go on sale to the public through Ticketmaster on Friday, August 14, at 10 a.m. HST. An exclusive presale will begin on Wednesday, August 12, at the same time.
WWE is also bringing its recruitment operation to Honolulu.
Before the live event, prospective wrestlers will have an opportunity to demonstrate their abilities during a talent tryout at Blaisdell Arena.
Participants will perform in front of WWE recruiters, coaches, and executives responsible for identifying and developing potential additions to the company’s roster.
WWE has not yet announced application requirements, eligibility rules, or a schedule for the tryout. The company said additional information will be released in the coming weeks.
The tryout gives athletes and performers from Hawaii and the surrounding region a rare opportunity to receive direct exposure without traveling to the continental United States.
WWE regularly recruits talent from professional wrestling, football, combat sports, gymnastics, track and field, cheerleading, and other athletic backgrounds. Its tryouts evaluate more than in-ring ability, with coaches also examining personality, communication skills, athletic potential, and comfort performing in front of an audience.
Successful participants could eventually receive an invitation to continue their development through WWE’s recruitment system.
The tryout does not guarantee that WWE will offer anyone a contract, but it provides a direct path for prospective talent to perform in front of the people who make those decisions.
Holding the tryout before the Honolulu event also makes WWE’s return more significant than a standard tour stop.
The company will bring its current stars to Hawaii while simultaneously searching for performers who could become part of its future.
Blaisdell Arena also hosted WWE’s previous Honolulu event on September 22, 2019. That show took place only months before the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted WWE’s touring schedule and temporarily eliminated traditional live events.
Although WWE eventually resumed touring, Hawaii remained absent from the company’s schedule until the newly announced October date.
The return comes one month after WWE’s planned September tour of South America, as the company continues to expand its live-event presence beyond the continental United States.
WWE’s trip to Hawaii will now combine three major elements: the end of a seven-year absence, appearances from several leading stars, and a talent search that could uncover a future member of the roster.
Fans in Honolulu will finally see WWE return on October 16, while prospective performers will receive an opportunity to show the company why they deserve to become part of what comes next.
