WWE does not explain the status change
Summary
– Titus O’Neil is now listed in WWE’s alumni section
– He has not wrestled for WWE since 2020
– WWE has not confirmed whether his ambassador role ended
Titus O’Neil’s WWE status has become unclear after the company moved him from its active listings to the alumni section of WWE.com.
O’Neil has not wrestled since challenging Bobby Lashley for the United States Championship on RAW in 2020. The match lasted just over a minute and became his final WWE appearance as an active competitor.
He remained connected to WWE through his role as a Global Ambassador, representing the company at charity events, community programs, and major appearances. WWE also brought him back for commentary during WrestleMania 39.
The company has not announced O’Neil’s release, confirmed that his contract expired, or explained whether his ambassador position has ended. His move to the alumni section, therefore, raises questions without providing a clear answer.
O’Neil joined WWE through the original NXT and later became one-half of the Prime Time Players with Darren Young. The team won the WWE Tag Team Championship before O’Neil transitioned into singles competition and expanded his work outside the ring.
For now, O’Neil is listed alongside WWE’s former performers despite remaining publicly associated with the company for years after his wrestling career slowed down. Until WWE or O’Neil comments, his official status remains uncertain.
