– El Grande Americano defeated Dominik in a chaotic No DQ match
– Liv Morgan, JD McDonagh, and Omos became involved before the title changed hands
Dominik Mysterio lost the AAA Mega Championship after his father personally counted the decisive pinfall at TripleManía 34 Night Two.
Dominik defended the championship against El Grande Americano in a No DQ match at Arena CDMX in Mexico City on September 13, 2026.
Both competitors used weapons throughout the match, including chairs, steel steps, and Dorian Roldán’s championship belt.
JD McDonagh interfered to help Dominik before Rayo and Bravo Americano arrived to support the challenger. Omos then joined the chaos and attacked several people near the entrance ramp.
Americano fought back against Omos with repeated chair shots, sending the giant crashing through the barricade.
Liv Morgan later knocked Americano from the top rope. Dominik followed with a 619 and a frog splash, but Americano kicked out before the three-count.
The original referee was removed in the closing moments. Liv slid the AAA Mega Championship into the ring, allowing Dominik to strike Americano with the title.
Dominik attempted another frog splash, but Americano moved out of the way. Americano then connected with a running headbutt and covered the champion without a referee available to count.
Rey Mysterio suddenly entered wearing a neck brace and a referee shirt. He slid into the ring and counted Dominik’s shoulders down to give Americano the victory.
El Grande Americano left TripleManía 34 as the new AAA Mega Champion, while Rey made the outcome even more painful by personally ending his son’s reign.
