The former world champion reveals his new path to All In

MJF made a violent return to AEW television during the August 5 edition of Dynamite: Grand Slam Mexico, attacking Andrade El Ídolo moments after the AEW National Champion secured the first entry spot in the Casino Gauntlet Match at All In: London.
Andrade defeated Tommaso Ciampa and Komander in a three-way qualifying match at Arena México. After celebrating the victory, Andrade told the crowd that he was home and promised to use his advantageous position to win the Casino Gauntlet.
His celebration ended when MJF’s entrance music began playing.
Instead of appearing on the stage, MJF attacked Andrade from behind with his customized AEW World Championship belt. He then reclaimed his Dynamite Diamond Ring and used it to continue the assault.
MJF drove the ring into Andrade’s head while repeatedly punching him on the entrance ramp. He eventually threw Andrade from the stage, sending him crashing into Komander on the floor as medical officials rushed over to help both wrestlers.
After leaving Andrade injured, MJF grabbed a microphone and declared himself the rightful AEW World Champion.
MJF blamed Will Ospreay for his championship loss to Kenny Omega at Dynamite: Beach Break on July 8. He insisted that Omega was already beaten before Ospreay interfered and prevented him from retaining the title.
“I had that Kenny Omega dead to rights,” MJF said. “That is until that talent hack, Will Ospreay, got involved.”
MJF also dismissed Omega as a paper champion, carrying what he described as a toy belt. He claimed Ospreay’s interference stole both the championship and the All In main event that rightfully belonged to him.
Omega is scheduled to defend the AEW World Championship against Ospreay at Wembley Stadium. MJF made it clear that he considers their match a false main event because he believes neither man deserves his former position.
MJF has already identified another way to force himself back into the championship picture. AEW will hold a qualifying match during the next edition of Dynamite to determine the second entrant in the Casino Gauntlet.
MJF announced that he will enter the qualifier in Las Vegas and expects to win.
“Next week, we’re in Vegas, and I’m feeling lucky,” MJF said. “I’m going to enter that match. I’m going to win that match.”
Winning the second entry spot would place MJF directly behind Andrade when the Casino Gauntlet begins at All In. MJF promised to defeat Andrade again at Wembley Stadium before capturing the contract awarded to the match’s winner.
The contract would provide MJF with another opportunity to challenge for the AEW World Championship. He previously won a Casino Gauntlet and successfully used the resulting opportunity, making his threat more than an empty promise.
The attack marked MJF’s first AEW television appearance since losing the championship to Omega at Beach Break. After spending nearly a month away, he returned with his Triple B title belt, reclaimed his Diamond Ring, and immediately established a new route toward the championship.
Andrade now enters All In with the valuable first position in the Casino Gauntlet, but he also has a dangerous rival determined to follow him into the match.
MJF may no longer possess AEW’s official championship, but he still considers himself the company’s true champion. Andrade was simply the first person forced to hear that message.
