Ludwig Kaiser Case Gets New Filing

Alleged victim obtains attorney ahead of July pre-trial conference

Summary

– The alleged victim in Ludwig Kaiser’s battery case has obtained attorney Darrin Chambers

– The filing could point to possible civil action or a request for financial compensation

– Kaiser’s pre-trial conference is scheduled for July 16

A new filing has been entered in Ludwig Kaiser’s ongoing battery case.

Court records show that a Notice of Appearance was filed on June 11, naming attorney Darrin Chambers as counsel for the alleged victim. Chambers works with NeJame Law in Orlando, Florida.

Chambers is a trial attorney whose work includes civil litigation and personal injury cases. His involvement could indicate that the alleged victim is exploring financial compensation or a civil lawsuit against Kaiser.

Kaiser, whose real name is Marcel Barthel, is facing a misdemeanor battery charge tied to an alleged incident on April 24.

The alleged victim is a male resident of Kaiser’s Orlando apartment complex. According to the victim’s account, he was in an elevator with Kaiser and a woman when he told them to have manners after claiming they were aggressively kissing.

The victim alleged that Kaiser attacked him outside the elevator. Police later noted a large scratch and redness on the victim’s head.

Authorities said they reviewed security footage and identified Kaiser as the alleged attacker. The victim was also shown a photo lineup and identified Kaiser.

Kaiser has not publicly commented on the case or shared his version of what happened.

Despite the legal matter, Kaiser remains able to travel domestically and internationally. He recently competed as El Grande Americano at AAA Noche de Los Grandes, where he defeated Chad Gable in a mask vs. mask match.

That match has received strong praise and has been discussed as a possible Match of the Year contender for 2026.

A pre-trial conference in the battery case is scheduled for Thursday, July 16. At that point, prosecutors and the defense are expected to discuss whether the case will move toward trial or be resolved before then through a plea agreement.
