Liv Morgan Denies Danhausen Curse

Queen of the Ring loss leads to strange backstage reaction

Summary

– Liv Morgan denied that Danhausen’s curse caused her Queen of the Ring finals loss

– Danhausen cursed Morgan at Night of Champions after she demanded Judgment Day’s money back

– IYO SKY defeated Morgan and earned a Women’s World Title match at SummerSlam

Liv Morgan is not buying into the idea that Danhausen cost her Queen of the Ring.

Morgan suffered a major setback at Night of Champions when she lost to IYO SKY in the Queen of the Ring tournament finals. The loss came shortly after Danhausen placed a curse on her during a strange segment in front of the Saudi Arabian crowd.

The issue started weeks earlier when Judgment Day paid Danhausen to curse Oba Femi before Dominik Mysterio’s King of the Ring match. That plan failed, and Femi went on to beat Mysterio to reach the tournament finals.

Morgan confronted Danhausen at Night of Champions and demanded the money back. She warned him that he would have problems if he did not return it.

Danhausen responded by putting a curse on Morgan. Liv fired back by slapping him, but the moment became a bigger talking point once she later lost to SKY.

Byron Saxton asked Morgan backstage whether the curse had anything to do with her loss. Morgan immediately rejected the idea and insisted that Danhausen has no real powers.

“No, no. Byron. Byron. Byron. Byron. Byron. Byron. I’m not cursed. Byron. I’m not cursed. Byron. Byron. He was just joking. I’m not cursed. I’m not cursed. Byron. I’m not cursed.”

Morgan continued to deny it and made it clear she wanted no part of the curse conversation.

“There’s no curse. Do you understand me, Byron? There’s no curse. There’s no curse. Danhausen does not have powers. It’s not real. There’s no curse. Excuse me, I have to go call Dominik. Okay, I’m gonna go call Dominik. There’s no curse, Byron.”

Her reaction only made the moment feel even more suspicious. Morgan said she was not cursed, but the repeated denial and sudden need to call Dominik Mysterio gave fans plenty to talk about.

IYO SKY now moves on to SummerSlam, where she will challenge Morgan for the Women’s World Championship. Whether Morgan believes in the curse or not, Danhausen’s warning is now hanging over one of WWE’s biggest women’s title matches of the summer.
