– Brie Bella targeted Reid’s shoulder and nearly won with the Yes Lock
– Reid capitalized on Fatal Influence’s numbers advantage and finished Brie with a running knee
Lainey Reid picked up one of the biggest wins of her WWE run by defeating Brie Bella on SmackDown.
Reid opened the match with a sharp left hand that rocked Bella early. The shot forced Brie to respond quickly, and the Hall of Famer fired back with aggression from the corner.
Bella shifted her focus to Reid’s left arm and shoulder, using her experience to slow down the physically powerful newcomer. Reid absorbed the punishment and answered with another heavy left hand that showed off her striking power.
Bella fought back with a missile dropkick and started building momentum with Yes kicks. She then rolled through and locked Reid in the Yes Lock, putting the match within reach.
The finish changed when Fallon Henley and Jacy Jayne got involved at ringside. Paige stepped in to even the odds, but the distraction forced Bella to release the hold and check on her partner.
Reid took advantage of the chaos and hit Bella with a running knee. The move was enough to keep one half of the Tag Team Champions down for the three-count.
The victory gives Reid a statement win over a proven veteran and adds more heat to Fatal Influence’s presence on SmackDown.
