AMC has released the official trailer for the Season 3 finale of The Walking Dead: Dead City, titled Tenebrae.
The preview warns that every decision comes with a cost as Maggie, Negan, and Hershel prepare for a final confrontation that could decide the future of Manhattan’s community.

The finale begins with Renata dead after Dillard shot her during Hourglass. Luis is also in immediate danger as Dillard becomes increasingly unstable.
Negan, Maggie, and Hershel now find themselves directly in Dillard’s path. The trailer shows the conflict escalating into violence as each character fights to survive.
The future of the Manhattan community also remains uncertain. Maggie has spent the season attempting to build something lasting, but Dillard’s actions have placed that goal in danger.
Mira Z. Barnum and Justin Boyd wrote Tenebrae. The episode also features Jimmi Simpson, Raúl Castillo, Aimee Garcia, Logan Kim, and Michael Emery.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan previously described Season 3 as the show’s strongest season and highlighted the major change in Negan’s relationship with Maggie.
Morgan explained that Negan continues to reveal new layers despite having begun as one of The Walking Dead’s most recognizable villains. His evolving connection with Maggie has allowed the series to reveal another side of the character.
Lauren Cohan said Maggie has started recognizing that allowing grief to define her no longer helps her. That realization has led Maggie and Negan to become unlikely allies who understand how much they need each other.
Morgan also believes the characters have exhausted years of hatred. After surviving longer together than most people left alive, Maggie and Negan have begun to accept that cooperation may be necessary.
