Blake Monroe has confirmed that she is currently in a relationship while revealing that she nearly appeared on Love Island before finding love on her own.
During an appearance on The Nikki & Brie Show, Monroe said Love Island first approached her when she was around 18 or 19 years old.
At the time, Monroe turned down the opportunity because professional wrestling was her main focus, and becoming a WWE Superstar remained her goal.
Love Island later approached her again after she moved to the United States. Monroe admitted she seriously considered joining the show the second time.
She ultimately questioned whether the format would be a good fit for her, especially when it came to watching someone she liked become physical with another contestant during challenges.
Monroe joked that she might have ended up throwing someone into the pool if she became jealous during the show.
The decision eventually became irrelevant because Monroe said she fell in love before ever joining the reality series.
Monroe did not identify her boyfriend during that part of the conversation, but later confirmed her relationship status while telling a story about wrestling in a SmackDown dark match.
She recalled returning backstage after the match and being greeted by Brie Bella, who hugged her and praised her performance.
Monroe said she was so excited about the moment that she immediately texted her boyfriend to tell him Brie had watched her match.
Monroe has not publicly identified who she is dating, but she made it clear that she is no longer single and found love without needing Love Island.
