Maggie reunites with Beth inside the alternate reality
Summary
– Beth Greene appears with Maggie during Dead City Season 3 Episode 6
– The sisters share hot chocolate and memories from their life back home
– Beth tells Maggie she is happy in this alternate reality
Beth Greene’s return is now being shown in a new clip from The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 3, Episode 6, with Maggie getting the chance to spend time with her sister again.
The scene opens with Maggie meeting Beth outside, where the two begin talking about a chestnut vendor Beth had hoped would be there. Beth says she wanted Maggie to try them because they taste like Christmas.
Maggie instead settles for hot chocolate and points out how different the weather feels compared with home, where temperatures are still reaching around 70 degrees.
The conversation then turns nostalgic as the sisters remember trying to make cocoa on the porch during Christmas, only for the wind to blow out the flame repeatedly. They laugh about drinking it cold and pretending it was fancy.
Beth tells Maggie how good it is to see her and admits it has been too long since they were together.
The most emotional moment comes when Maggie tells Beth that she seems happy. Beth quietly confirms that she is, giving viewers a glimpse at the kind of life she might have experienced if the apocalypse had never happened.
Episode 6 explores an alternate reality in which familiar Walking Dead characters live completely different lives. Beth’s return gives Maggie something she lost long ago in the main timeline, while also showing a version of Beth who grew beyond the farm and built a life of her own.
The scene is intentionally simple, but that is what makes it stand out. Instead of walkers, survival, and tragedy, Maggie and Beth share hot chocolate, memories, and a peaceful conversation as sisters.
