Former NXT star returns to the independent circuit under his pre-WWE name Dezmond Xavier

Summary

– Wes Lee, now using his former ring name Dezmond Xavier, is officially taking bookings

– Released from WWE on October 10, 2025, after five years with the company

– Represented by Paragon Talent Group, joining stars like Mercedes Moné and Mandy Rose

Wes Lee is stepping back into the spotlight, this time on his own terms. Just weeks after his WWE release, the former NXT standout announced that he’s now available for bookings, including matches, appearances, and seminars.

Posting to X, Lee revealed that he’s returning to his independent wrestling name, Dezmond Xavier, with a message that read, “Dezmond Xavier software update available to the public November 11th.” The announcement signals his re-entry into the wider wrestling world after a successful yet turbulent WWE run.

Lee is represented by Paragon Talent Group, co-founded by Steven Kaye and former WWE star Mojo Rawley. The agency also handles several notable names, including Mercedes Moné, Mandy Rose, Jordynne Grace, Luchasaurus, MVP, and Rusev, adding Lee to an already stacked roster of talent.

His release on October 10 came as a surprise to many fans and insiders. Wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer reported that WWE didn’t see Lee as part of its long-term vision, despite his skill and crowd connection. “After five years in the system, they simply felt they were never going to use him on the main roster,” Meltzer wrote.

During his NXT tenure, Lee held both the NXT North American Championship and the NXT Tag Team Championship, becoming known for his speed, athleticism, and creativity in the ring. Following his July 29 loss to Je’Von Evans, Lee’s appearances dwindled until his release became official.

Now performing once again as Dezmond Xavier, he’s ready to return to his roots, reconnect with fans, and remind the wrestling world why he was considered one of NXT’s most dynamic performers.
