Perros del Mal is back in AAA, and the group made its return with a statement attack on El Grande Americano.
The faction reappeared during the main event segment of the June 20 episode of AAA on Fox. El Grande Americano was celebrating his Noche de Los Grandes victory when he turned his attention toward Dominik Mysterio and the AAA Mega Championship.
Before the celebration could continue, WWE NXT wrestler Karmen Petrovic interrupted him. Moments later, Daga, Angel Garza, Berto, and Bronco Nima surrounded the ring and joined the attack.
The five wrestlers beat down El Grande Americano and left him lying out inside the ring. After the attack, they revealed shirts bearing the Perros del Mal name, confirming the group’s return in AAA.
Petrovic added one final message by kicking El Grande Americano in the head before the segment ended. The moment gave the reformed faction a strong introduction and immediately placed them in the middle of AAA’s top story.
Perros del Mal first became a major force in the early 2000s and had a strong presence in both AAA and CMLL. Daga already has a history with the group, having joined in 2012, while Petrovic, Garza, Berto, and Bronco Nima are new additions.
Garza, Berto, Petrovic, and Bronco Nima are also tied to WWE through NXT and the main roster. Daga brings AAA experience as a former Latin American Champion and World Cruiserweight Champion.
Perros del Mal has returned with a mix of legacy, WWE talent, and AAA history. Their first target was El Grande Americano, but their real impact may be felt across the entire promotion.
