Ciampa and Jericho will settle their heated issue on July 8
Summary
– Tommaso Ciampa will face Chris Jericho at AEW Dynamite Beach Break on July 8
– Ciampa challenged Jericho after their face-to-face segment on AEW Collision
– Their confrontation turned violent and left Jericho bloodied after the brawl
Tommaso Ciampa and Chris Jericho are officially set for a one-on-one match at AEW Dynamite Beach Break.
The match was announced after Ciampa and Jericho met face-to-face during the June 20 episode of AEW Collision. Ciampa made it clear that he had been waiting to see this version of Jericho and then challenged him to a match on July 8.
Jericho accepted the challenge, setting up a major singles match for Beach Break. The bout will take place in Clearwater, where AEW is pushing the personal nature of the feud.
The segment did not end with words alone. Ciampa and Jericho started brawling after the challenge was accepted, and the fight left Jericho bloodied by the time it was over.
Jericho later reacted by thanking Ciampa and saying he needed what happened. That response added another layer to the match, as Jericho appears ready to embrace the violence heading into Beach Break.
Ciampa now has a major chance to make a statement against one of AEW’s biggest names. Jericho, meanwhile, heads into the match with something to prove after being left in a bloody mess on Collision.
