The System gains momentum before Slammiversary after chaotic main event
Summary
– Moose teamed with the Broken Hardys against The System on TNA iMPACT
– The Righteous appeared with a ladder to distract the Hardys before Slammiversary
– Eddie Edwards scored the win for The System after Alisha Edwards and Kendra got involved
Moose stepped into the Broken Universe on the June 18 episode of TNA iMPACT, teaming with Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy against The System.
The sight of Moose alongside the Broken Hardys created an unusual scene, but it made sense with Slammiversary approaching. Moose has been at war with Eddie Edwards after being thrown out of The System, while the Hardys are heading toward a three-way ladder match for the TNA World Tag Team Championships.
The match started with The System trying to avoid Moose. Eddie Edwards wanted no part of a direct fight early, leaving Brian Myers to deal with the Broken Hardys instead.
Matt and Jeff worked over Myers’ arm and used their classic teamwork to take control. Moose eventually tagged in and took a shot at Edwards, showing he was eager to get revenge before their Slammiversary clash.
The System turned the match around when Alisha Edwards distracted Jeff Hardy. That gave Brian Myers and Eddie Edwards an opening to punish Brother Nero while the referee was occupied.
Moose later changed the tone of the match when he powerbombed Edwards onto the apron. That moment took Edwards out for a stretch and showed how personal their issue has become.
The match broke down late as Moose, the Hardys, and The System all traded big moves. The Righteous then appeared on the stage with a ladder, sending a message to both the Hardys and the tag team champions before Slammiversary.
That distraction proved costly. Alisha Edwards once again got involved, and Kendra used a kendo stick while the referee did not see it.
Edwards followed with the Boston Knee Party and pinned Moose to give The System a major win. The victory gave Edwards momentum before facing Moose, while the tag title picture became even more chaotic.
With The Righteous watching from the stage and the Broken Hardys still chasing the titles, Slammiversary now has even more tension surrounding the ladder match and Moose’s war with The System.
