Slammiversary rivals win six-man tag before tension erupts again
Summary
– Mike Santana and Nic Nemeth managed to coexist long enough to win on TNA iMPACT
– Santana, Nemeth, and KC Navarro defeated Order 4 in six-man tag action
– Ryan Nemeth attacked Santana after the match, leading to another superkick from Nic Nemeth
Mike Santana and Nic Nemeth entered TNA iMPACT with one major question hanging over them.
Could the TNA World Champion and his Slammiversary challenger work together without destroying their own match before it happens.
Santana teamed with Nemeth and KC Navarro against Order 4 in six-man tag action on the June 18 episode of TNA iMPACT. The tension was clear before the bell, with Navarro trying to keep the peace between two men who were scheduled to collide for the TNA World Championship.
The match had major stakes because Santana and Nemeth were not allowed to cross the line physically. If they came to blows, Santana could risk losing the title, while Nemeth could risk losing his title opportunity.
Order 4 tried to capitalize on that tension early. Mustafa Ali, John Skyler, and Jason Hotch attacked from behind and used their teamwork to keep Navarro isolated.
Tasha Steelz and Special Agent Zero also got involved at ringside, but the referee eventually caught the interference and ejected them from ringside.
Navarro survived several dangerous moments, including a triple powerbomb, before finally getting the tag to Santana. The world champion brought fire into the match and gave his team a chance to recover.
Santana and Nemeth still had issues during the match, but they avoided turning on each other. Santana even chose to help Nemeth when Order 4 had him trapped.
That moment led to the finish. Santana and Nemeth hit stereo offense, including double Rolling Buck 50s and double Danger Zones, to secure the victory for their team.
The peace did not last long after the bell. Ryan Nemeth attacked Santana from behind, and Navarro got caught in the middle while trying to calm things down.
Santana accidentally took out Navarro while aiming for Ryan. Nic Nemeth then used the opening to hit Santana with another superkick, leaving the world champion down again.
Santana and Nemeth proved they could coexist long enough to win, but the post-match scene made it clear that Slammiversary is still ready to explode.
