– Cope warned The Dogs that Forbidden Door will be their house

Cope and Christian Cage made it clear that they are done letting The Dogs push people around.

During the June 17 episode of AEW Dynamite, the AEW World Tag Team Champions went after David Finlay and Clark Connors after The Dogs had been bullying production staff.

Cope and Cage took the fight straight to Finlay and Connors as the crowd stood behind them. The champions threw punches and kept the pressure on, showing that they were ready for a fight before Forbidden Door.

Connors appeared to be in serious trouble at one point, but Finlay pulled him out of danger before Cope and Cage could do more damage.

Cope then took the microphone and delivered a sharp message. He mocked The Dogs for their name and took a personal shot at Finlay before turning his attention to Forbidden Door.

Cope said he and Christian would use old man knowledge and old man grumpiness when The Dogs step into their house in San Jose. He promised that Finlay and Connors would leave as housebroken little pups.

The segment gave Cope and Cage momentum heading into Forbidden Door. With the champions fired up and The Dogs now on notice, the tag team title picture is getting more personal.
