Lakeshore Records has announced the release of the official score album for The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 2, composed by Ian Hultquist. The digital album launches October 24 across major streaming and download platforms, including Amazon Music and Spotify.
The collection features selections from Hultquist’s latest work on the AMC spin-off, following his acclaimed score from Season 1, previously released by Milan Records in 2023. Known for his cinematic and emotionally charged compositions, Hultquist’s Season 2 score captures the tension and humanity at the heart of Maggie and Negan’s struggle in the ruins of New York City.
The 26-track album includes titles like “Rats in a Maze,” “Attack on the Hudson River,” “The Gallows,” and “Live Long Enough to Become a Walker.” Each piece reflects the dark, evolving tone of the series, blending eerie atmospheric sounds with intense orchestral arrangements.
Created by Eli Jorné, The Walking Dead: Dead City stars Lauren Cohan, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Gaius Charles, Mahina Anne Marie Napoleon, Željko Ivanek, Lisa Emery, Dascha Polanco, Logan Kim, and Kim Coates. Season 2 premiered in May and June on AMC and AMC+, with a third season already confirmed.
For fans of the franchise and film score enthusiasts alike, the new Dead City soundtrack offers an immersive experience into the emotional chaos of survival in a broken world.
