Streaming The Walking Dead franchise through AMC+ is about to cost more. The company has announced new subscription price increases, marking the second rate hike in less than a year.
For new subscribers, the monthly ad-supported plan now costs $7.99, up by one dollar. The ad-free premium tier has also increased by one dollar to $10.99 per month. Annual plans have risen from $95.88 to $109.99, representing an increase of roughly 15 percent.
The updated pricing takes effect immediately for new customers. Existing subscribers will see the new rates applied after March 13.
AMC+ stated that the increase will help fund continued investment in original programming and exclusive content across its networks, which include AMC, Shudder, and Sundance Now.
Over the past 13 months, the service’s monthly rates have climbed more than 20 percent following consecutive adjustments. An AMC+ subscription includes access to content from its three core streaming brands, six live streaming channels, and offline downloads for ad-free members.
Among the most recognizable titles on the platform are The Walking Dead spinoffs, such as Dead City, Daryl Dixon, and The Ones Who Live. Additional series available through the service include Interview with the Vampire, Mayfair Witches, Dark Winds, and A Discovery of Witches.
AMC+ continues to offer a seven-day free trial for new users.
