CJ Perry, formerly known as Lana in WWE, and her husband Miro Barnyashev, better known to wrestling fans as Rusev, have announced they are expecting their first child together.
The couple shared the exciting news in an exclusive interview with People on October 27, 2026, revealing they are expecting a baby boy due April 28, 2027.
Their announcement follows an emotional journey with in vitro fertilization (IVF), which began in 2025. Perry revealed that their embryo transfer took place on August 10, 2026.
After several anxious days, the couple received their first positive pregnancy test on August 19, followed by confirmation two days later.
Perry described the experience as emotional, explaining how each stage of the fertility process brought uncertainty. Hearing their baby’s heartbeat and sharing the news with loved ones became especially meaningful moments.
The couple also revealed they have already selected a name for their son, Bear Petrov Barnyashev.
Rusev explained that he had imagined naming his future son Bear nearly a decade ago. The middle name Petrov honors his father.
The WWE star also jokingly discussed his son’s potential future in soccer, mentioning Real Madrid and the possibility of moving to Spain to enroll him in the club’s football academy.
For Perry and Rusev, the announcement marks a major personal milestone after a lengthy road toward parenthood.
Both expressed their excitement and gratitude as they prepare to welcome their son next spring.
