Remedy details DualSense support and visual options
Summary
– Control Resonant will use PS5 hardware and DualSense features
– PS5 offers Performance and Quality modes
– PS5 Pro adds Balanced mode with ray tracing
Remedy Entertainment has detailed the PlayStation 5 features coming to Control Resonant ahead of its September 24 release.
The sequel takes place in a twisted version of Manhattan, which is divided into visually distinct zones. Fast travel between areas and the Gap, a liminal space within Dylan’s mind, will be nearly instantaneous.
The main story is expected to take between 25 and 35 hours to complete. PlayStation 5 Activities will track progress through the main quest, while Game Help will be added after launch.
Remedy also developed new technology for its Northlight engine, focusing on performance. Control Resonant is designed around 60-frame-per-second gameplay and responsive combat.
The DualSense controller will provide varying levels of adaptive trigger resistance to accommodate Dylan’s abilities. Attacks such as Barrage and the Volatile Anomaly will each offer a distinct tactile response.
The game will also support 3D Audio with compatible headsets, adding another layer of immersion during exploration and combat.
On PlayStation 5, Performance mode targets 60 frames per second at 1440p. Quality mode targets 30 frames per second at 2160p.
PlayStation 5 Pro owners will have three options. Performance mode targets 60 frames per second at 2160p, while Quality mode targets 30 frames per second at 2160p with ray tracing.
Balanced mode targets 40 frames per second at 2160p with ray tracing when played on a 120Hz-compatible display.
Control Resonant launches on September 24 for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro.
