Catalina defeated Flammer at Arena CDMX in Mexico City to claim the championship on one of AAA’s biggest stages of the year.
Flammer controlled the early part of the match with an aggressive attack. She drove Catalina’s head into the announce desk, sent her into the steel steps, and applied a double chicken wing submission.
Catalina escaped the submission and began shifting the momentum. She knocked Flammer to the floor with a hip attack before connecting with a spear outside the ring.
Flammer regained control by sending Catalina into the timekeeper’s area. Catalina answered by launching herself back over the barricade with a body press to the floor.
Back inside the ring, Catalina connected with a missile dropkick and a Gori Bomb for a two-count. She continued attacking with several strikes and another spear, but Flammer refused to stay down.
