Fans in attendance described a frightening scene after what had been a normal match. Williams’ legs reportedly buckled before he went to the floor, prompting his longtime tag team partner, The Blade, to signal for assistance and attempt to help him back to his feet.
Williams reportedly collapsed again and lost consciousness, leading to the urgent medical response. No diagnosis or further details regarding what caused the incident had been publicly announced at the time of the initial reports.
Williams is well known for his time alongside The Blade in AEW, where the pair became regular members of the company’s tag team division after arriving in 2019. Williams is also known outside wrestling as a musician and former member of Every Time I Die.
